The History of Tour de Meers

Tour de Meers began in 1989, making it one of the longest standing biking events in this region. Riders come from the areas surrounding Lawton, Wichita Falls, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and DFW with many others sprinkled in from those states and others near and far. With gratitude to our participants, sponsors and volunteers, we have grown this event from a small local event to a regional & featured event with our growth mirroring the public’s interest in fitness in general and bicycling in particular. We are proud to host an event that continues to please the many who join us each year!
