Updates

The 36-mile route has been changed. No longer will it go north around the wind farm. This new route takes you into the beautiful Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and back. The route takes you from the fire station south on SH 115 into the refuge, turning west on SH 49, turning north & west on SH 49 from the Refuge Visitors Center, turning south on Indiahoma Road past the Refuge Headquarters and continuing to the Treasure Lake Job Corp driveway and parking lot, and then turning around to backtrack using the same route to the fire station. This route measures 36.8 miles roundtrip. Route safety monitors will be posted along the route with SAG Wagon support tailing the last riders.

We are adding a 6-mile route for kids of all ages! Children under 10 years old ride free but must be accompanied by a parent or someone 18 years or older. All persons over 10 years old must pay the full registration fee because this ride is a fundraising event for the Meers Volunteer Fire Department, thanks. We hope you will enjoy this new route! Route safety monitors will be posted along the route with SAG Wagon support tailing the last riders.

We are pleased that our event has grown, and we are growing with it. We want to avoid traffic jams of arriving cars and massing bikers on State Highway 115, so we are blocking that stretch to local traffic only so that the bikers can mass peacefully along the start line. The shady grove will be for overnight campers (NO OPEN FIRES) and overflow parking, and it will have portable toilets for your convenience.

This year we hope to consolidate most of the parking by our main fire station located at the top of the hill where we’ll have primary and secondary lots. Please plan to arrive using the map below. We will have signs and flaggers along State Highways 58 and 115 to help you find your way to Wolf Road so that you can approach from the north instead of from the south.
